Quantum Leap SD2 The Next Generation is the sequel to Stormdrum. SD2 The Next Generation is a 10 Gb collection of multi-sampled acoustic percussion instruments. All recorded with vintage Neumann microphones in the famous East West Studio 1.

EastWest has announced Quantum Leap SD2 Pro, a new expansion for Quantum Leap SD2 - The Next Generation with over 4 gigabytes of additional samples. Quantum Leap SD2 Pro is only available as an upgrade to registered owners of SD2 - The Next Generation.
Quantum Leap SD2 Pro features an additional 2.5 gigabytes of brand new recordings featuring new ensembles and solo percussion instruments. As a bonus, you will receive an additional 1.5 gigabytes of multi-samples from the original Quantum Leap StormDrum.
Quantum Leap SD2 Pro and Quantum Leap SD2 - The Next Generation contain a combined total of over 16 gigabytes of acoustic percussion instruments.

1. New playlist section.
FL Studio 9 now can use (and hide individually) three different playlist. Two of them are the classic �Pattern PlayList� and �Free PlayList�. The new playlist is the �Track Based Playlist�. You can route the track to the desired FL Studio Mixer insert channel. Also you can record in them as a classic secuencer.
2. Added slots for effects (Playlist Effects)
The track based playlist can host up 4 Midi Effects and 4 Audio Effects. You can switch them with the MFX and AFX buttons. Red buttons mean that there are effects added.
3. Freeze
FL Studio can freeze individual tracks from �Track Based Playlist� using the F button. You can move the patterns, delete them or add new audio effects because the patterns are freezed individually (with their time based track effects too (not the mixer effects), but you cannot see their tails)
But you cannot add midi effects, or delete/change any effects, or change the patterns, because the Playlist Effects are freezed too.
Freezed tracks are in blue.

Recorded by 11-time Grammy nominated classical recording engineer Prof. Keith O. Johnson, the EastWest/Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra was recorded in a "state of the art" concert hall where orchestras mainly perform.
To achieve the feel of a live concert hall performance, each instrument and section was recorded with three mic positions, close, stage (conductor's position) and hall. By selecting different mic positions, users can mix these sounds together to create any kind of natural ambience their project requires. This eliminates the need for artificial reverb.
